Hundreds of people protesting rally with Republican Trump
Hundreds of people protested on Friday outside a rally that carried out the pre-candidate Donald Trump with a group of Republican of California, one day after a demonstration against the aspiring presidential nomination would become violent.
About 300 people gathered outside the convention in Burlingame, south of San Francisco. The protesters, who held signs and Mexican flags at a time rushed to the entrance and the police drew their batons.
The news captured images of Trump, guarded by security guards, jumping over a barrier and walking to the back entrance of the hotel to his speech at the Republican act. Protesters blocked traffic.
"That was not the easiest entry I've done," Trump told the rally. "The truth is that it felt like I was crossing the border," he added.
The real estate mogul is achieving broad support among Republicans, as well as criticism for his tough stance against illegal immigration. He accused Mexico of sending drug traffickers and rapists across the border and promised to solve the problem by building a wall that would be paid by Mexico.
Some twenty people were arrested on Thursday night in Costa Mesa, California, which held its rally on favorite to get the Republican nomination for the presidential election on Nov. 8. Local media reported that protesters smashed the glass of a police car and blocked traffic.
