At least 14 killed in attack on Shiites in Iraq
At least 14 people were killed and 25 wounded on Saturday when exploding a car bomb on a road used by Shiite pilgrims near Baghdad, Iraqi health and security sources said.
The bomb exploded on a road near Nahrawan by passing Shiite pilgrims to go to the tomb of Musa al Kazim, the seventh of the twelve Imams dead Shiism poisoned in prison in the year 799 by order of the Abbasid Caliph Harun al Rachid.
Every year millions of pilgrims from Iraq and neighboring Iran come to the holy place.
By the time the attack has not been claimed. In the past the jihadist group Islamic State (EI) attacked Shiite pilgrims, whom they consider heretics.
