24 dead left a car bomb in Baghdad

At least 24 people were killed and 39 wounded in a car bomb in a popular market for selling livestock in the eastern outskirts of Baghdad.

The attack occurred in the Al Nahrawan, a Shiite majority and located on the eastern outskirts of the Iraqi capital, where traders come to sell their lambs and goats wholesale.

So far, no organization has claimed responsibility for the attack.

However, the jihadist group Islamic State (EI) and Al Qaeda have taken responsibility for various similar terrorist actions in the country.

On Monday, six people were killed and thirty wounded by the explosion of a car bomb in a popular souk in the Yedida Baghdad neighborhood in the southeast of the capital.

Shiites and their temples are with target of attacks of the terrorist group Islamic State (EI), which proclaimed in June 2014 a caliphate in areas of Iraq and Syria under its control frequency.

Last February, at least 55 people were killed and 116 wounded in a double suicide bombing in Baghdad's Sadr City district, a Shiite majority, whose responsibility was assumed by the EI.
