The measure is part of government policy to regain full control after the failed military coup last July 15.
According precise semipublic agency Anadolu, the new Council attended by the Chief of Staff and the commanders of the various Armed Forces (Army, Air and Navy) and Prime Minister, holders of Defense, Justice, Interior, Foreign Affairs and deputy prime ministers, a position currently occupied by five people in Turkey.
In addition, president and prime minister can issue direct orders to the commanders of the various forces and promotion system is simplified to the point that a sergeant may be appointed general.
