Two officers injured and one killed in shooting outside Baltimore

Two police officers received today two shots at a restaurant and are seriously injured, while the author of the shooting was shot by police on the outskirts of Baltimore (USA), the sheriff's office reported.

"We believe that both agents shot them the same suspect," said Jeffrey Gahler, Harford County Sheriff, 40 kilometers from Baltimore on the east coast.

Both policemen were immediately transferred to two nearby hospitals in the Baltimore area.

Gahler avoided comment on the situation of the agents, but said one of them shot him in the head.

The sheriff said the incident occurred at 11.46 local time (16.46 GMT) in a fast food restaurant, and for now is unknown if they were attacked "specifically".

Later he came a police patrol in a further exchange of fire killed the gunman, who has not been identified.

Also, Gahler surprised that there were more wounded showed, as the restaurant was full.
