Trump announces agreement with Univision in litigation Miss Universe

Magnate and Republican candidate for the White House, Donald Trump announced Thursday an agreement in their dispute with Univision for the group's decision Hispanic US television not to broadcast the Miss Universe and Miss USA.

"Donald J. Trump, the former owner of the Miss Universe organization, and Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), the leading media company serving the Hispanic community in the United States, are pleased to announce that they have reached a legal agreement on the dispute, "the Trump Organization said in a statement.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Univision, the US channel NBC and Mexico's Televisa had announced on June 29 the breakdown of their relationship with Trump and his refusal to convey Miss Universe in protest over derogatory comments about Mexican immigration in the real estate magnate.

"I know Randy Falco, president and CEO of Univision, for over 20 years and I am happy to have been able to leave behind these differences," he said Trump was quoted in the statement.

"I know Donald Trump a personal and professional level for many years, and I am pleased to resolve this issue and turn the page," Falco said his side in the same text.

On September 11, Trump NBC announced the acquisition of 50% of the Miss Universe contest, thus leaving the whole company.

But shortly after that month, the tycoon decided to sell the event to WME / IMG, which specializes in events show signature.
