Now cyclists could forget to bring their kit of pumps to inflate and patches because the company Nexo has created a tire without air to make sure that nothing will ruin your way.
Tires that are not struck are not something new, however, they were not widely used due to their poor absorption of impacts and rigidity, compared to regular tires.
But the new company, based in Utah, U.S., claims to have found the solution to these problems. Its product is made of a mixture of polymers that - according to its reports - offer not only a perfect balance between strength and damping, but also durability.
The tires will come in two different forms - ones to be mounted on existing tires with a life of up to 5,000 kilometers and others, which replace the complete wheel and last up to 8,000 km.
Finally, Nexo has also worried about the environment, creating its tires of a single material, which makes it easily recyclable. Considering that some 10,000,000 tons of bicycle tires and tubes are discarded each year, this is certainly a step in the right direction.
