Women ask Amazon to stop selling products Donald Trump

More than 13,000 Amazon customers have signed a petition asking the company to break relations with the Republican candidate for the White House, Donald Trump.

The petition was created by UltraViolet, a group of women's rights, and is addressed to CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos.


Bezos asks him to stop selling clothing collection Donald J. Trump. The signing of the American businessman currently has eight products on Amazon.

"As a customer of Amazon, I am deeply disappointed because they have not cut business relations with Donald Trump," says the petition. "His hatred should have no place in the Amazon market."

Dozens of companies and media have distanced themselves from Trump since he declared his intention to be president of the United States in 2015.

"As long as Amazon had taken the example of Macy's, sever ties with Trump and longer benefit from their brand of hate," says the petition. "He has advocated violence in his rallies, has mocked the wives of his opponents and even refused to fire his campaign manager, who was recently arrested for assaulting a reporter."

Spokespeople from Amazon and Trump campaign did not respond immediately to give their statements on the subject.

But even if Amazon removed the clothes Trump sells on its platform, the company can get money from other contenders in the presidential race. A search of Trump on the Amazon site gives more than 44,600 results. 15% of the products are listed as eligible.

A baseball cap with the slogan of the campaign Trump "Make America Great Again" is the first result that appears.

Amazon has taken advantage of certain political issues in the past. Last year, the online store banned the sale of Confederate flags and memorabilia relating after a shooting at a historic church in South Carolina.
