Brazilian Federal Police find "treasure" of Lula in a safe.
The Brazilian Federal Police reported that gave the whereabouts of the safe of former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva at a branch of Banco do Brasil in Sao Paulo.
According to a study published by newspaper O Globo, in the pool room 186 items, including gifts, coins and gems treasured by Lula during his two terms as head of government are stored.
Research on this "treasure" began on March 8 by order of the Brazilian Public Ministry.
Among the items stored in the vault there are gold coins with the symbols of the Vatican, a sacred image crafted in silver and precious stones, a wooden crucifix, a camel gold and gold dagger with ivory hilt studded with rubies .
The lockbox, according to O Globo, is the name of the first lady Marisa Leticia ex and his son, Fabio Luis Lula da Silva and the bank manager said no storage costs for homeowners.
The publication notes that most of the objects have the original seal of the presidency.
