A girl of 10 months died today in Santo Domingo after being held for more than eight hours in the car of his father, who forgot to take her to day care before heading to his workplace at the Ministry of Health of the Dominican Republic, police said .

Members of the security system and 911 determined that the infant died asphyxiated in the car his father parked at the Coliseum Boxing Carlos (Teo) Cruz of the Dominican capital, located about 500 meters from the local Ministry of Health.
According to the information, the father of the girl, who was not identified, came every morning to a nursery where her daughter stayed while he worked.
However, forgetfulness of man caused the tragedy he himself realized around 16:00 local time (20:00 GMT).
Police did not disclose whether the man will face charges before the court.
