Venezuelans in Panama pray that the elections take place in peace this # 6D

Several hundred Venezuelans in Panama today pray for peace in the legislative elections held on Sunday in the South American nation. EFE.

Venezuelans gathered in the church San Francisco de la Caleta, in a suburb of Panama City, to attend the Mass presided by compatriot Frank Altuve priest, according to the Sunday online edition of local daily La Prensa.

"The Venezuelan community based in Panama participated Sunday morning December 6 Mass in the church San Francisco de la Caleta, located in Coco del Mar, for peace in the South American nation," reported the newspaper.

A Mass in Panama City attended by about 200 people.



Altuve asked in his homily that peace reigns in that country, that the outcome of the process is respected and well see a change in Venezuela.

Meanwhile, Mariana Ferrer, living in Panama Venezuela, said that the Mass is part of a series of religious and social activities that take place during the Venezuelan community Sunday.

"Given that the Venezuelans who reside abroad can not exercise our right in these parliamentary elections, we have organized for our intention and our energy could be endorsed through a prayer of faith and hope," he said.

The National Electoral Council of Venezuela has called to vote to almost 19.5 million voters to renew the 167 seats in the National Assembly, which currently has a government majority.
