Microsoft shows how Chrome eats battery of your laptop

Google Chrome browser has always made a very generous use of energy in the device that is running, even if it means reducing the life of the 'gadget'.

Microsoft, in need of a bombshell that will allow the world to publicize its new browser, Edge, mounted a demonstration to prove that Chrome is a disaster when compared to other browsers on a Surface.

The test has videotaped the signing of Redmond, which has four tablets Surface to work with four different browsers: Firefox, Edge, Chrome and Opera. And they did while reproducing HD video via streaming, one of the activities that requires the battery.

The first to fall was Chrome, after four hours and nineteen minutes, followed by Firefox (five hours and nine minutes) and Opera, who endured six hours and eighteen minutes. The winner was Edge, able to stay alive for seven hours and twenty-two minutes.
