At least eight policemen were killed and twenty others were injured by the explosion of a car bomb in Barze district, northeast of Damascus, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.
According to the NGO, a car bomb exploded in the garage of the Club of Police Officers in the area.
The official Syrian television said there were dead and wounded by a "terrorist explosion" of a car bomb in a vegetable market, located in the area Masaken in Barze.
