An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 on the Richter scale, occurred on Thursday in the Cuzco region, southeastern Peru.
According to the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP), it was not perceived by the people as happened in a jungle area.
The tremor was recorded after 8 pm (local time) and the epicenter was 68 kilometers northeast of the city of Paucartambo in Cusco, at a depth of 118 kilometers.
Earlier, another earthquake of magnitude 4.7 was felt in the Amazon region, so far without any reported injury or damage.
The quake was generated at 10 pm. Its epicenter was reported 53 kilometers south of the province of Mendoza Rodriguez, with a depth of 35 kilometers.
