Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday accused Ankara of having killed last week a Russian bomber on the border with Syria to protect traffic that carries oil to Turkey jihadist Islamic State (EI) from the territories it controls. AFP
"We have every reason to believe that the decision to shoot down our plane was dictated by the desire to protect these pathways of oil to Turkish territory," Putin said at a news conference outside the cop21 which began today in Le Bourget, north of Paris.
