Approval Michelle Bachelet management down to 24%, according to survey

The discharge of the president of Chile, Michelle Bachelet, stood at 24% last week, three points less than last, according to a survey released today by the consulting Public-Cadem Plaza. EFE

According to the survey data, the disapproval of the head of the Chilean government rose three points and reached 66%.

The study showed that 76% agree with that Chile needs a new constitution, with another 60% who think that this process is a "very or fairly priority" issue.



Respondents stated that a new constitution for the southern country "will overcome the problems it has today in areas such as education, safety and health" (67%), "it will make Chile a more just and less unequal country" (65%) and "will allow Chile to become a developed country" (60%), among others.

In line with the mechanisms that the president should use to perform this new Constitution, 46% think that the Government should draft a new issue with Congress to be approved through a referendum.

Moreover, there is a 46% proposed a Constituent Assembly elected citizens to draft and approve a new constitution.

The survey was conducted on 21, 22 and 23 December and included 508 telephone interviews and 204 face to face across the country; its margin of error is 3.7% and confidence level 95.0%, said the consultant.
