The government of President Barack Obama presented Friday to the Supreme Court an appeal to lift the blockade, determined by lower courts, the immigration relief measures announced exactly one year ago and that would benefit millions of people.
The document of 45 pages in length, which is signed by the Attorney General of the United States, Donald Verrilli, asks the Supreme Court to launch an "immediate review" of the case and reaffirms the president's authority to sign decrees on immigration policy, he cited AFP.
