The First Chamber of the Supreme Court of Mexico has approved the cultivation and use of marijuana for recreational purposes four Mexicans who requested an injunction after health authorities deny them that opportunity.

At a public meeting, the motion was approved with the votes of the ministers of the court Arturo Zaldivar, who drafted the statement that recognizes the right to self-determination against marijuana, Olga Sánchez Cordero and Jose Ramon Cossio.
Contrary Minister Jorge Mario Rebolledo court ruled to consider the draft decision does not specify where it will buy the drug, while the fifth member of the First Chamber, Alfredo Gutierrez Ortiz, has not yet been pronounced.
