At least seven people have been killed by heavy rains in Saudi Arabia

At least seven people, including two children, have died in the last 24 hours by heavy rains that have flooded the region of Medina in western Saudi Arabia, reported the Saudi Civil Defense.

Civil Defense asked the population to remain in their homes and off the streets only in cases of extreme necessity to ensure safety.

For its part, the Department of Meteorology and Environmental Protection said in a statement yesterday that the bad weather will last until today, especially in the regions of Hael (north), Al Qasim (center) and the area north of Riyadh .
