"It was a magnificent Val guy who is dealing with exactly the same as I had, and things do not look too good for him," he said last night during a ceremony in London Douglas, who in 2010 was diagnosed with throat cancer.

"My prayers are with him. That's why you have not heard much about Val lately," he added the actor, who at age 72 is considering making the leap to television.

Kilmer, 56, has denied in recent months suffering from cancer, despite the rumors that have appeared in the media in this regard.

The star of "The Batman Forever" (1995) admitted in April on his Facebook page that was detected a tumor but denied that it was cancer.

"Thank you (for support) but I have cancer. I was cured of a tumor in a matter of days last year. Do not you believe rumors," then wrote the actor.

In January 2015, the protagonist of "The Saint" (1997) had denied that he had "a tumor" or had undergone "any operation".

"I had a complication for which it was best to be under the watchful eye of the Intensive Care Unit" University Hospital of Los Angeles, Kilmer said.
