The Security Council UN strongly condemned Thursday the "barbaric and cowardly terrorist attack" occurred in the French city of Nice during the celebration of July 14.

At least 80 people, including children, were killed and dozens wounded when the bomber rammed a truck into a crowd that was watching the fireworks during the celebration of the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille.
The Council unanimously adopted a French statement that "condemned in the strongest terms" the attack and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
The Council reaffirmed that "terrorism in all its forms is one of the most serious threats to peace and security in the world threats."
"All acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable," the statement said 15 Council members stressed "the need for all States to combat" terrorist threat "with all means", respecting international law.
