Foreign ministers of EU founding countries will met in Berlin

Holders of Foreign Affairs of Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg will meet tomorrow in Berlin, following the decision of the UK to leave the European Union, the German Ministry reported in a statement.

The event, explains department head Frank-Walter Steinmeier, is part of the series of meetings that traditionally hold the six founding countries of the project of European unity.

Those responsible for the German, French, Italian, Belgian, Dutch and Luxembourg diplomacy have already held preliminary meetings in Italy and Belgium.

Steinmeier was the first member of the German government in lamenting the results of the referendum in the UK, with 52% of votes in favor of abandoning the European Union, compared with 48% in favor of staying in it.

The minister called the results "really disappointing" in "a sad day for Europe and the UK."
