The Sukhoi SSJ 100, with capacity for up to 103 passengers, is the commercial aircraft with Russia hopes to conquer Latin America and does not rule out that the first sales can be made in Chile.

"It is a very attractive product that absolutely (airlines) can make money, it is a very successful airplane and maybe Chile is lucky enough to have the first," the senior vice president of sales of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Efe said, Eugenio Andráchnikov.
The Russian company, which occupies a privileged place among the pavilions of the International Air Show (FIDAE-2016), which ends this Sunday, first arrives to Santiago with this aircraft in its most basic version needs a runway only 1,700 meters.

Andráchnikov stresses that the aircraft has been designed for exceptional performance in the harshest environments in the world, from arctic cold to heat high altitude.
There are currently more than 70 Sukhoi SSJ100 aircraft in operation with more than 150,000 flight hours, hours that the company expects to quintuple conquering the skies of Latin America.
