"The group, made up of 18 people, will work on the investigation into the murder of Russian ambassador Andrei Karlov," Peskov said.
He said that the team is made up of representatives of different institutions, including the Instruction Committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
"The agreement for this was reached during the telephone conversation held the day before the presidents of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan," he said.
Putin warned last night that "the response to the assassination of the Russian ambassador in Turkey will be to strengthen the fight against terrorism, and the bandits will feel it in their own flesh."
