Declared "persona non grata" Donald Trump in Mexican municipality


The Republican candidate for the US presidency, Donald Trump, was declared "persona non grata" by the city of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato municipality of Mexico.

As highlighted by local media Sunday, the proposal was submitted by aldermen of the conservative National Action Party (PAN) political -group which also owns the mayor, Ricardo Villarreal with an alderman of the Humanist Party.

Thus, the city declared "persona non grata" the billionaire tycoon, who has shown on several occasions opposite migration, especially Mexicans, who has called for "rapists" and "criminals."

The aldermen felt that Mexicans deserve "respect", which does not offer Trump's speech that promotes xenophobia, and insults to millions of Mexicans living in the United States, they said.

In the document submitted, they considered that is also at risk bilateral relations.

On the other hand, one of the aldermen was positioned against the recent meeting between Trump and President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto.
