Sixteen injured left severe turbulence on a United Airlines plane

Sixteen people were injured by severe turbulence on a plane from United Airlines (UA), forcing the commander to make an emergency landing in the Republic of Ireland, the company said.

A total of 14 passengers and two crew members of the plane, which was traveling between Houston (EE. UU.) And London Heathrow Airport, were admitted to hospital after crash landing in the Irish airport Shannon.

The plane was diverted to Shannon (southwest of the Republic of Ireland) for emergency landing by a "unexpected turbulence," he said the airline, adding that the injured were taken to a hospital in the nearby town of Limerick.

"United Airlines are providing care and support to passengers and crew of Flight UA-880 experienced strong and unexpected turbulence during the flight from Houston to London Heathrow," said the airline.
