Syria was deprived of power on Thursday by widespread failure whose causes are unknown, announced the official television and several inhabitants.
"A source at the Ministry of Electricity announced a general power cut and said their teams try to determine the source for repairs and reset in the coming hours," the television. According to residents, the blackout began at 11H00 GMT.
