A train derails in California and leaves several injured

A passenger train derailed Monday in a rural area of Alameda County (California, USA) and caused at least six wounded, although at the moment it is unknown severity.

The train is number 10 of the Altamont Corridor Express line and veered off the road near Niles Canyon Road while on the route between San Jose and Stockton.
The cause of the derailment was a fallen tree on the road, which made it one of the cars precipitase over a stream and one on land, firefighters said.

All 214 people aboard were removed from the train.
