Drone destroys the Voice of the Caliphate, the radio station EI

The issuing of the Islamic State (EI) in Afghanistan, the Voice of the Caliphate, was destroyed in an attack by US drones in which 29 members of that organization were killed, officials said Tuesday.

The dead included four employees and three technicians of the radio station, he told Efe Attaullah Khogyanaim, spokesman for the governor of Nangarhar province (west)

The spokesman said the operation was launched on Monday night with four different drones bombing in the Achin district.

The Voice of the Caliphate had worked in the past two months in Nangarhar with messages calling for the population, especially the youth, who will be enrolled in the group and rise against the Afghan government.

"This time has been completely destroyed in bombing US drones," confirmed Efe Zabihullah Zmarai, members of the Provincial Council.

According to Zmarai, the station, which at first began broadcasting in Pashto and had recently started programming in Dari and English, was used as "a tool of psychological pressure on the people," in a broadcast without interruption.
