Bosnia and Herzegovina applying for membership of the European Union, announced on Monday the chief diplomat of the block, Federica Mogherini, but Brussels said that Sarajevo has not fulfilled all the conditions for making the order.
Mogherini said the 28 member states will discuss the request and said that was good news for the block and Bosnia, former Yugoslav republic in the 1990s suffered a war in which 100,000 people died.
"At a time when the Union is being challenged from within, to see that our neighbors have the energy and willingness to unite and work hard to adapt their country, its society, its economy, its institutions, to European standards, brings us the sense of responsibility that we owe our citizens, "he told journalists.
