The White House said Sunday that the approach of actor Sean Penn drug trafficker Joaquin "Chapo" Guzman to interview "raises many questions" and described as "exasperating" Mexican capo's comments on drug empire headed.
The White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough, responded in a statement to CNN to Penn interview with "El Chapo", published last night by Rolling Stone and helped Mexican authorities to establish the whereabouts of drug trafficker.
"This so-called 'interview' raises many interesting questions, both for him (Penn) and for others involved in this. So we'll see what happens with that. I will not jump the gun," McDonough said.
The chief of staff responded well after being asked if, in the event that the Mexican Government wishes to question Penn for his approach to "El Chapo", the White House intervene to facilitate access to the actor.
On the content of the interview, McDonough said, "that swagger (from 'El Chapo') about how much heroin commands worldwide, including the United States, it's infuriating."
