At least 20 people have died drowned today after being shipwrecked vessels in trying to reach Greece from the Turkish coast, according to the Turkish daily Hurriyet.
A first wreck killed 13 people heading to the Greek island of Lesbos and whose bodies were found in the beach town of Ayvalik. Coastal patrols managed to rescue 12 survivors.
Hours later he reported finding in Turkish Dikili beach, south of the foregoing, the bodies of seven refugees trying to reach the island of Lesbos, which is about 20 kilometers.
