A woman was killed and another injured after an explosion of unknown origin on Tuesday night at Sabiha Gokcen Airport, located on the Asian side of Istanbul, the Turkish press reported Wednesday.
Yamaç Zehra, a maid of 30 years, died of injuries sustained in the head by the blast, according to CNN-Turk and NTV televisions.
Another worker was injured in the hand and is hospitalized, added the Turkish media.
"An explosion of unknown causes, occurred at 02H05 (00h05 GMT) in the parking area of the aircraft," he said in a statement the airline Pegasus Airlines.
Both women were aboard an aircraft carrier near the site of the explosion, said Pegasus.
