Eight agents of the Military Police of Rio de Janeiro were arrested today on charges of torturing four young during Christmas night, officials said.
Military Police explained that ordered the arrest of the agents after verifying that there are indications that participated in the alleged torture of four youths on motorbikes circulating and were stopped at a police checkpoint on Christmas night.
The identity of the young was not relieved, but according to their testimonies, published by local media, were attacked by the police, who burned with lighters, they inflicted you cut with a hot knife and even forced one of them to perform oral sex an agent.
The incident occurred in Santa Teresa, a downtown district of Rio de Janeiro surrounded by favelas but still has a lively nightlife.
