The Vatican announced Monday the arrest of the Spanish prelate Lucio Angel Vallejo Balda, secretary of the Prefecture for Economic Affairs, for "theft and dissemination of news and confidential documents", he said in a statement the Holy See.
Besides Vallejo Balda, a member of Opus Dei, he was arrested and released on Chaouqui Francesca, consultant for economic and organizational reform of the Holy See, in the context of an investigation by the Vatican Gendarmerie.
