Mexico and the US arrested eight members of the network dedicated to trafficking

Eight people allegedly linked to organized crime offenses, trafficking in persons for sexual exploitation and trafficking, among others, were arrested in a joint operation between Mexico and the United States.

The director of the Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) of the Attorney General's Office (PGR, prosecution), Thomas Zerón, said in a news conference that the operation was carried out last Wednesday and Thursday simultaneously in Tlaxcala ( central Mexico) and New York (USA).

In the action participated federal investigators assigned to Interpol Mexico, PGR personnel, the AIC Federal Police and agents of the US Department of Homeland Security (ICE / HSI).

Three were arrested in the United States, while the other five in Mexico.



The operating resulted from an investigation launched by the Department of Homeland Security in New York in 2012 for the alleged existence of an international network of organized crime dedicated to trafficking in persons in their mode of sexual exploitation.

A woman said that underage was "hooked" for an alleged perpetrator who began a relationship in which two children were born, the parent used to force the victim to be sexually exploited her.

Thus, the mode of operation of this perpetrator and other members of this network was linked emotionally with minors in vulnerable situations, using both social networks like face courtship, remove them from their family environment and to threaten offspring.

According to the research, victims mainly in Tlaxcala subtracted to take them to the United States.

The network was made up of four families were usually moving and changing their phone numbers while the money transfers made through different recipients.
