Interpol has identified some 6,000 foreign jihadists in combat zones

The head of the Interpol gave these remarks at a terrorism conference in Seville (south), following the attacks of Paris that ended the lives of 129 people, and bomb threats in Germany and Belgium that led to the cancellation of football matches .

"The organization has about 5,800 registered foreign terrorist suspects from more than 50 countries," said the police chief.

"But some estimates put the number of it foreign terrorists in more than 25,000, so there is clearly a significant difference between the number of foreign terrorists who have identified and which are estimated to have reached areas of conflict," he said.

Stock insisted that there should be more information between countries and access to data to Interpol.

"Information is vital for the police (...) work this information should be shared with Interpol," he added.

"The self-styled Islamic State has it sent a clear signal that the battle is taking up our homes and capital," he said.

A UN report recently noted an increase in foreign fighters about 2014. More than 25,000 combatants involved in armed conflicts come from more than 100 countries.
