The affected vehicles were produced between July 2008 and March 2011 at Ford's plant in the Mexican city of Hermosillo.
Of all affected vehicles, 411,205 are in the United States, 33,605 in Canada and 7,055 in Mexico.
Ford said that the dealers of the brand update the software module control power plant, will inspect the safety valve and the reservoir, and replace if necessary.
