Pope Francisco today condemned "vigorously" the attacks on Friday night in the French capital and said that "violence can not solve anything," in a message sent to the Archbishop of Paris, Cardinal André Vingt-Trois.

The Pope refers to "the horrible terrorist attacks that occurred in Paris and the Stade de France, killing many people and wounding many others," in a telegram sent to the French cardinal by the Vatican secretary of state, Pietro Parolin.
Jorge Mario Bergoglio stated in his message released by the Vatican, which binds "to prayers and suffering of the families affected by this tragedy and the pain of the French people".
The pope also asked "God to inspire all thoughts of peace and solidarity and to carry on families in this trance and all French people an abundance of his blessings." EFE
