BEIRUT: Education Minister Elias Bou Saab declared for the closure of all public and private schools, colleges and universities around Lebanon on Friday, in mourning over Thursday’s double suicide attack in a southern Beirut suburb, demanding from all educational facilities to commit to the decision.
The minister said that the decision came after discussions with Prime Minister Tammam Salam, who also ordered shut all public institutions around the country on Friday to mourn the attack.
ISIS Thursday claimed responsibility for the double suicide attack that ripped through the southern Beirut suburb of Burj al-Barajneh, killing at least 37 people and wounding nearly 200.
