130 people were killed at a wedding after the Arab coalition bombing in Yemen

An alleged bombing of the Saudi-led Arab coalition in Yemen killed 130 civilians attending a wedding, including many women and children, the UN said Tuesday.

"If the figures are as high as it seems, may be the deadliest conflict since the beginning of the incident," spokesman of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Rupert Colville said in Geneva.

Several locals said there was an air raid of the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia, formed in March to stop progress in Yemen Shiite rebels hutíes.

In a message, the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon condemned "the air strike" and presented his condolences to the families.

Ban Ki-moon recalled that "there is no military solution to the conflict in Yemen" and again called on the parties "the immediate cessation of military activities" and seeking a solution through negotiations, with the help of his special envoy.

In total, 2,355 civilians have died in Yemen, and other 4,862 have been injured since the conflict began in March, according to the UN.
